When Mark and Debbie contacted us to install their bespoke kitchen, the brief was clear. They wanted a spacious modern kitchen for a new kitchen extension, a light and bright space perfect for entertaining and family life with their two children.

Our contemporary and traditional kitchen designs always begin with an in depth client consultation, so a member of our team visited Mark and Debbie in their Richmond home. “Dennis listened to our ideas and put together a plan that was nearly perfect first time” the couple recalled.

Central to their concept of the ideal kitchen space was a bespoke island, allowing them to cook while interacting with guests in this stunning indoor/outdoor space with its seamless flow. Cabinets from the Aran Cucine range were the obvious choice, their streamlined good looks suiting perfectly the clean lines of this modern light filled extension.

Bespoke kitchen design

To ensure that this kitchen functioned as the most important place in the family home and met the needs of Mark, Debbie and their two children, we designed a solution that meant they could cook, eat and entertain together, either around the island or al fresco in the garden.

The central island is the focal point of the entire design with pure white cabinets and sleek handleless drawer fronts for a seamless look. The grey accents on the handle pulls were echoed in the wall cabinets and floor to ceiling larder with space for fully integrated appliances.

Our Italian contemporary cabinets created a beautifully weightless and timeless look yet are nevertheless robust enough to stand up to the rigours of life with a growing family. The aesthetics and functionality of the Aran Cucine range were the ideal fit for the couple’s vision of a contemporary and welcoming space.

Cool and contemporary

We were pleased to be able to create a kitchen design that chimed with Mark and Debbie’s own design choices. The cool white of the island and the warmer charcoal of the wall cabinets look seamless against the oversized white floor tiles and walls, while the glass splashback and underhung stainless sink are practical and stylish choices.

The understated matte lacquer finish and stainless steel appliances plus the sleek white quartz worktop really perfected the effortlessly contemporary look and the use of a steam extractor meant the ceiling line with its generous skylights could be kept pure and uncluttered.

Debbie and Mark were delighted with the overall result, especially the attention to detail in the use of space. Thanks to its versatility, the Volare range makes the best use of all available space, and the couple loved the clever ways the units open and close for that all-important sleek and contemporary look.

This kitchen design is a perfect example of the bespoke contemporary look that can be achieved with a stylish blank canvas kitchen extension and Aran Cucine contemporary cabinets.
